Duckett Road: single storey rear extension – North London

The owners of the ground floor one-bedroom flat in a converted period property looked to add a second bedroom and en-suite bathroom to their home. By avoiding a complete re-arranging of the internal layout and retaining natural light to the existing bedroom, we designed a small top-lit courtyard with rooflight to allow natural daylight and ventilation to reach the back bedroom.
